Stages of Skill Qualifications

Ranger Fitness Screening Test and Physical Fitness Requirements
Ranger candidates must meet specific physical standards to qualify for Ranger School and subsequent assignments. The primary fitness assessments are as follows:
1. Ranger Physical Fitness Test (RPFT)

- Event: Maximum number of push-ups in 2 minutes.
- Requirement: Minimum of 49 push-ups.

- Requirement: Minimum of 59 sit-ups.

- Event: 2-mile run.
- Requirement: Complete in under 15 minutes and 12 seconds.

- Ruck March: A 12-mile ruck march with a 35-pound pack completed in under 3 hours.
